Could someone help me regarding dietary restrictions after colon cancer operation?
My husband was operated on for colon cancer approximately six (6) months ago, is doing fine, but foods that were OK are now giving him diarrhea. Any suggestions regarding food, possible books to buy, etc? My sincere thanks.
Linda, you should be calling his DR. A dietitian should be telling him what kinds of foods to eat. There are foods that go through the colon that are not good for him after surgery. I’m surprised a dietitian didn’t speak to him before he left the hospital. Please, call his DR and tell him what’s going on. Good luck to your husband. I wish him the best.

Schlegel (Department Chairman) and Tewari of Cornell Urology discuss the application of PSA tests, digital rectum exams, and other approaches that enable urologists to diagnose prostate cancer earlier. A family history of prostate cancer and the implications relative to a diagnosis of prostate cancer is also discussed. The need to receive a PDA and at what age is also covered by one of the leading prostate cancer researchers.
