Gerald Aptaker, 71. Stage IV Prostate Cancer with multiple bone metastases in bilateral ribs, thoracic spine, sacrum, pelvis and left femur responded dramatically to the Issels Treatment. What is the most famous hospital for testicular cancer treatment?

I was thinking of getting an opinion about what treatment my husband should follow for testicular cancer. Can you help me with names of hospitals that are considered really good for this form of cancer?

There are other good places. FYI, Indiana has a hotline to their testicular docs and they will help your local doc by phone- saves lots of money.

My doctor is planning on doing the laproscopic surgery for colon cancer and I was wondering if anyone in here had had this?

yes I have had laproscopic surgery for colon cancer ,3 yrs ago was out of the hospital on the fourth morning after the surgery ,quick recovery.

I have a 60 year old with Stage IV Prostate Cancer diagnosed 4 years ago. What can I expect from now?

He is on 3 monthly hormone injections, MST and Oramorph for the pain, he has had Chemo and Radio Therapy and at last hospital appt, his consultant suggested maybe further Chemo. He does try to help out, however gets tired, breathless and sweaty very easily and he is very tearful. His PSA has risen to 65. What is his prognosis from here?

Unfortunately there is only one long term prognosis with out treatment. Your best bet is a clinical trial. You might be able to find one you’d be suited for here.
