survival rate for prostate cancer is 80% in this country but 50% in europe?
and now we want THAT sort of healthcare structure here. The reason the survival rate is lower is because you are put on a "list" and it takes much longer to get treatment. By the time you get treatment it will be too late.
Is this what we want in this country?
I dont need to have a source…I LIVED over there for two years and saw it first hand. google it if you do not believe me.
BTW, MANY more women die of breast cancer overseas than here.
Europe is NOT a single country. I lived over there in one of the northern countries so I know this better than you do.
I lived in Amstrdam and my in-laws who live there now told me this. They have a friend with prostate cancer and he was given survival rates for westeran europe (generalized)…we were talking about it over the phone over the weekend.

Eastern European Countries do bring the % down !
but.. I think you should use countries like Sweden, Norway, France, Canada, Japan, Etc. when your going to compare.
I don’t think a U.S. Nationalized Health Care System would end up being like one in the countries of Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine or Romania.

Yet, there are cancer patients who have the ability to pay for expensive treatments that insurance won’t pay for- of course they have to pony up the dough out of pocket.
But some think that they can get tax payers to pay for it (b/c they’re selfish and want to burden the rest of us with THEIR problems).
But the government is just going to deny them ANY treatment, so it’s either have the CHOICE to pay for it now, or have the government deny you live-saving care.

You ask that question like Europe is a single country.
You can’t compare France and Bulgaria , get real. We don’t compare you with Mexico , find the average and distort the facts.
You actually do need a source for this , otherwise it just looks like you plucked it from your ass , you can’t get statistical figures based on 1 or 2 examples , which might I add come from 1 single country. You hardly went and lived in every country in Europe to see how they handle prostate cancer , and make up a statistic off the top of your head because of an example of 2.

Erm I know Europe is not a single country because I told you that myself , my point is you cannot squash all the statistics in all the countries , get the average and make it look like the truth , different countries have different systems , and different results. I would like a source as well. Which European country did you live in? How do you know the survival rate of prostate cancer even if you lived there? I dont know that off the top of my head. Btw, you cant compare a continent to a country.
